I was delighted to be invited to Tracy’s house on a Friday to witness the True Life in God Messages in front of 20 prayerful souls. This was a presentation to a group of Catholic believers that had not yet heard about Vassula’s mission, calling to spread God’s Love Hymn to humanity, and the Lord’s warning to his people in “these end times”.
It was a two-hour drive to our destination with my wife Roberta accompanying me to the meeting. Upon our arrival I greeted each individual and handed them the prayer meeting guidelines booklet, including the “Repentance and deliverance” prayer card. After the crowd assembled, we began the meeting with a short introduction and started with the prayer meeting guidelines that we had handed out. The readings were of the sorrowful mysteries which various volunteers could read out loud for the first time. For this devout group it was an emotional experience and set the tone for my presentation of the TLIG messages.
My presentation included 4 themes from the TLIG messages; Love, Mercy, Unity and Prophecy. For each theme I selected 2 readings. I first directed all those assembled to pull out their cell phones and go to the TLIG.ORG website and follow the readings in “The Messages” section of the site. For each theme I began to read and then asked volunteers to finish the readings. I wanted each person to experience the word of God and feel his presence through his words! Far better for them to read than for me to talk about them. Those in attendance were moved and after each reading we would have a short discussion about the readings. As we continued, I felt those assembled understood the beauty of the words reflected from these readings. It was a lot of material to take in all at once but most of those attending were anxious to continue until we broke for dinner.
At dinner I was able to speak with many of those in attendance and get to know them personally. I learned that there were many devoted souls in this crowd and that they had amazing experiences to share. One woman I met named Mary met Vassula in Moscow in 1993. She had many experiences in Russia during the extremely harsh financial conditions the country was going through. She told me that Russia was like the wild west in the 1990’s when I asked her about her experience there.
After dinner I finished up with the final reading which completed our visit of 4 hours. I am very grateful to Tracy for hosting my visit and I pray that the TLIG messages take root in this community of Erie, Pennsylvania. May God bless that beautiful group of people!
