For over a decade, the AATLIG Midwest North volunteers have participated in the 40th Annual Printers Row Lit Fest, also known as the Chicago Literature Fest, the largest free outdoor literary event in the Midwest. (See PrintersRowLitFest.org.) Chuck Morton secured a spot for our True Life in God books and evangelization materials. Mark Kliethermes from Kansas City donated “TRUE LIFE IN GOD Volume I (1986-2003)” books and ”Heaven Is Real But So Is Hell: An Eyewitness Account of What is to Come” books, and he, along with Mike, drove to Chicago to join the evangelization effort. Chuck Morton, Adrian Ortega, Deacon Art Tiongson, and his wife, Babes, all from the Chicagoland area, distributed books and TLIG materials.

Before we began, we prayed together, and Deacon Art imparted Jesus’ blessings upon us. Initially, our assigned table’s location seemed unfavorable. Chuck requested a relocation to our previous table, but none was available. Providentially, our street hosted an LLC Tent where authors, booksellers, and publishers promoted their work. In past Lit Fests, we had unsuccessfully tried to secure a speaking slot for our beloved Vassula Rydén. This time, Chuck approached the emcee and secured a slot. When his turn came, the emcee initially said they had run out of time. However, Chuck persisted, and miraculously, the emcee delayed their lunch break to allow Chuck three minutes to speak about the TLIG Messages. As an approved TLIG witness, Chuck delivered a compelling talk, after which we distributed 16 TLIG introductory books to attendees in the tent.

Drawing from a strategy at last year's Lit Fest, Chuck suggested we read a random TLIG message aloud while others handed out books, noting that this approach attracted more passersby. This year, Chuck brought a megaphone to amplify our voice as we shared the following random message:

“… broadcast My Message; come, I will give you the means of diffusing My Message;”

(June 30, 1990)

Praying earnestly to the Holy Spirit, Chuck was led to another random message, where the Holy Spirit’s seal is very profound, since the TLIG banner that is a mainstay in every TLIG event, includes the same words; “come to Me as you are”

“I am the Light of the world, who comes in this dark era to give you the Light of Life; have My Peace, My little children, I offer you My Peace; I offer you the gift of My Love; come to Me as you are, do not wait to be saints to come to Me; come to Me as you are, do not fear Me; I am the most Tender Father;”

(February 24, 1991)

We also shared a TLIG random message from Saint Paul:

“God has called all of you to share His Glory; He favours the humble and the innocent; above all, be pure to be able to face the Lord in good conscience; the Spirit of Grace is upon you, and each one of you has received a special grace; these special graces were given to you for the benefit of the Church to proclaim a Resurrected Christ, something in your days considered as untrue;”

(September 4, 1996)

We were profoundly moved by God’s call to us to “proclaim a Resurrected Christ”

Mina, a young attendee, was overjoyed to find us in the “middle of the world,” Chicago, witnessing our Christian faith. He said we “made his day” and promised to visit the TLIG website.
