True Life in God Midwest North Region Witnessing Presentation by Chuck Morton
A couple of months ago, Chuck Morton, the Midwest North Coordinator, asked us whether it was possible to host the witnessing event in Michigan. The answer was “Yes,” and since then we had cultivated the event by choosing the theme, finding a venue, and doing event promotion together.

The themes that inspired the Witness presentation, and were included on the poster and flyer, as well as online promotion, came from the following three TLIG Messages:
“come to Me as you are; do not wait to be saints to come to Me; come to Me as you are and I shall forgive your sins and purify your soul;”
“I will bring you closer to Me; feel loved by Me, do not fear Me, I am Peace; I, Jesus, guide you, I lead you; pray more and work with Me in this way; augment your faith in Me; need Me; be watchful for the time is near;”
“you are all my people, no matter what creed or race; remember I am LOVE and I have created you all;”

Frances Kosac helped with the poster and flyer formatting, making them ready to go to the printer, which was very helpful support. We shared posters and flyers in churches (Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant,) and around our neighborhood, as the venue was in the closest public library. We also shared them at universities, restaurants, golf courses, parks, local festivals, and anywhere that had a bulletin board and allowed us to post. We were pretty surprised by the variety of churches of the three denominations and by how accepting the clergywere of our promotional items. We also sent a request to three free local newspapers to upload our poster online.

After a month of promotion, one of the main denominations prevented our event from being promoted in their churches, but on the same day we got news from one of the universities that they would color-print 25 copies of our posters and gave us a map of the 25 bulletin boards on their campus! Jesus is in charge!! There is no doubt about it, as we experienced a lot of help from strangers at the right time and right place, besides the prayer support from our TLIG family!

TLIG Event Facebook Promotion
A week before the event, we focused our promotion on some social media websites like Facebook, Next Door, etc. We submitted our online event poster to different local groups around the venue area and also tried advertising the event on Facebook.
The day before the event, Chuck came accompanied by Adrian and his wife Barbara. We also got a surprise visit from Vanessa and her husband Tim from Georgia, and the Smith Family! Chuck gave a very smooth, detailed, and engaging presentation! Everybody, old and new attendees, paid very good attention to what he presented.

We were so delighted to have some newcomers; some learned about it from the flyers in their church, and others knew about it from the Facebook promotion! Some were interested in receiving TLIG magazines and newsletters. And the most joyful surprise was that two of them showed up at our last in-person prayer meeting! Thank you, Jesus and Mama Mary, all the angels, and the saints!! Great thanks for the support from the TLIG family!
