13th Ecumenical True Life in God Retreat Malibu, California
(August 6-10, 2025)
”Doubt No Longer On Our Blessed Union”
We would like to thank all 70 of you who attended the 13" Ecumenical TLIG Retreat for your participation. A special thanks to all our TLIG clergy who travelled from Sweden, Denmark, Canada and the US for giving us their time and wisdom on the True Life in God Message of November 2, 1997 ”Doubt No Longer On Our Blessed Union”
The retreat started on the Feast of the Transfiguration, and we participated in the Ukrainian Catholic Divine Liturgy. Each morning, we started the day at 7:00am with the Greek Orthodox or the Byzantine Divine Liturgy celebration. We prayed the rosary every day, had confession, two healing services (with a relic of the True Cross and St. Michael relic), and Adoration.
The talks by the priests on “How will Unity come about between the churches of Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant through the TLIG Messages and the mind of God as revealed through the Holy Trinity” helped us to understand the spiritual battle going on around us, the importance of dying to “Me, Myself and I” and how reading the Messages everyday focuses our attention on God’s divine plan for each of our lives. In addition, there were two zoom talks from a Catholic priest.
We visited the Mission San Fernando Rey de Espana, founded in 1797, Our Lady of Angels Cathedral completed in 2002 and enjoyed a historic ride down Route 66 (Hollywood) and the famous Rodeo Drive through Beverly Hills.
The many testimonies from those who attended were inspiring. The peace of the Serra Retreat and natural beauty enhanced our prayers for peace and unity. Some of the comments from the participants are as follows:
“What a blessing and gift to be there and especially to spend time in prayer, receive healing twice, celebrate Divine Liturgy, gain so many books and resources to learn so much about unity through the talks from the priests who were so good at teaching and giving me a greater understanding of Jesus’ messages through Vassula. It will be a treasure in my memory always and so much that I will be able to apply in my walk with God.” Joni R.
“The stories shared with me by other retreatants and remarkable testimonies of how others knew about the TLIG Messages made me realize that we are the chosen few who were given the grace to recognize the voice of the Lord in the messages.” Rhodylyn D.
“..found the Malibu Retreat to be meaningful, nourishing, loving...I felt truly refreshed and spiritually revitalized by the end of this retreat. One is reminded indeed that the Truth is Love, Simple, and Deep. It is unbelievably bolstering to one’s faith to see the Holy Spirit, creatively at work, attracting souls to God’s Love Hymn in True Life in God; and seeing how these precious lives have been wholly transformed by God’s Love.” Peter B.
“I find this retreat, makes straight my paths and prepares me to meet the Lord.” Janet M.
“The presence of Vassula and the Holy Spirit was evident throughout the retreat and experienced by many. Her spirit as alive amongst us.” Tim M.
“The Malibu retreat was uplifting. The people and Orthodox leaders filled my soul with hope and peace.” Barbara Z.
“That was my first TLIG retreat. What I enjoyed most was meeting the TLIG family, who came from all over. I greatly appreciated the solemnity and variety of liturgical services. I was truly blessed by the whole experience.” Maria D.
“The Serra Retreat Center was a beautiful setting and made more memorable by the feeling that you were meeting family. Seeing those from our daily prayer meeting was like a family reunion. Everyone was smiling all the time. You could feel the difference in the air. You could join any table for a meal and feel at home. People you didn’t know were so friendly and everyone loves Jesus, Our Blessed Mother, reads the messages and wants to do better. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I was unable to attend the talk on Reconciliation; however, several people said it was incredible and were very animated while filling me in on what I had missed. I was deeply moved by the Orthodox Mass and the brotherly bond among the Fathers. Seeing the beauty of unity in front of me was extremely moving. The last day was very hard. It felt like I was leaving pieces of my heart there. I will always treasure the memories of my first TLIG retreat.” Kitty C.
